Biography
Russian violinist Pavel Kuzmichev has performed as soloist and chamber musician throughout Europe, and is a frequent collaborator with many artists and ensembles. Born into an artistic family, he began violin studies in his native Kiev at the age of six. From 1987-1994 he was studying at the Central Music School at Moscow Conservatory with Prof. Bezrodnaya.
In 1994, Pavel entered Moscow Conservatory under Prof. Glezarova, later he studied with famous Russian soloist Maxim Fedotov and graduated in 1999. He received scholarship awards from Yankelevich Foundation in Moscow and Karajan Foundation in Vienna.
After moving to Vienna in 1999, Pavel studied with Prof. Pichler (leader of the Alban Berg Quartet) at the University of Music and Dramatic Arts in Vienna.
Pavel Kuzmichev is a winner of numerous competitions in Russia and Stefanie Hohl in Vienna. He has participated in numerous master classes with important pedagogues including professors Frischenschlager, Dora Schwarzberg, and J. Tomasek.
Since 2004, Pavel Kuzmichev is a member of Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.
