Biography
Ricardo Casero is the music director of the Orquesta Reino de Aragón, Spain, where he has been working with soloists such Maxim Vengerov, Sarah Chang, and Natalia Gutman. He is the principal conductor and music director of the Master Symphony Orchestra, a position he has held since 2007, and has furthered his conducting career by working as a collaborative conductor at the Palau de les Arts in Valencia.
Mr. Casero has been invited conductor of the; Raanana Symphonette, Israel; Orchestre de la Opera de Marseille, France; National Philharmonic of Ukraine, Swedish Wind Ensemble; Halle Staatskapelle, Germany; Albania National Opera; Kiev Na- tional Opera House; Spanish National Orchestra ONE; Bilbao Symphony Orchestra (BOS), Galicia Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Valencian Community Symphony Orchestra (Palau de les Arts), Valencia Symphony Orchestra, Extremadura Symphony Orchestra, Región de Murcia Symphony Orchestra, City of Granada Orchestra, Córdoba Symphony Orchestra, Castilla y León Symphony Orchestra, Spain and the Master Symphony Orchestra in the Festival Internacional de Música de Cine in Córdoba and the International Music Festival PlayFest in Úbeda working closely with composers like Mark Isham, Trevor Morris, Blake Neely, Christopher Young, Akira Yamaoka, Austin Wintory Borislav Slavov, and Richard Jacques, the Master Chamber Players with Maxim Vengerov in Riga, Latvia.
Lastly, Mr. Casero holds the Guiness Book of World Records 2012 award for conducting and recording a 235 piece orchestra for the soundtrack to Konami’s latest video game, Castlevania, “Lords of Shadow”.
Ricardo Casero graduated with honors from institutions in Spain, the United States (In- diana University), the United Kingdom (Guildhall School of Music), and Sweden (Umea), having studied with José Chenoll, Keith Brown, Denis Wick, and Christian Lindberg. He was also the recipient of a Fulbright Grant and a scholarship to study at Indiana University, where he completed an Artist Diploma in trombone performance.
